Hi, I’m Nikki! The photographer, videographer, and licensed drone pilot behind Niquiqui Limited. Welcome to my little corner of the world.
Based in Burlington, Ontario, I bring more than 15 years of photography experience to every project, combining creativity, technical knowledge, and a genuine love of working with people. My background spans Communication Technology, Film Studies, and Electrical Engineering Technology, an unusual combination that has shaped both my creative and technical approach to visual storytelling. It taught me to think not only about how an image looks, but how all the pieces come together to communicate something meaningful.
Early in my career, I worked at Henry’s, where I deepened my technical knowledge of cameras, lenses, lighting, and photographic equipment while helping people find the right tools for their creative goals. That experience reinforced something that remains central to Niquiqui today: listening carefully, understanding the vision, and finding the best way to bring it to life.
Whether I’m photographing a family milestone, developing imagery for a personal brand, or creating commercial content for a business, I approach every project with creativity, preparation, and collaboration. My goal is to make the experience feel comfortable, thoughtful, and distinctly yours.
how it started — and why it matters
Photography became part of my life at 17, when I landed my first paid photography job. What began as a creative outlet quickly became something much more meaningful, a way to preserve experiences, connect with people, and tell stories that might otherwise disappear with time.
Over the years, my camera has followed me through different places, industries, and chapters of life. As my experience grew, so did my understanding of what photography could accomplish. A photograph could preserve the way two people looked at one another, give someone confidence in front of the camera, help an entrepreneur put a face to their brand, or help a business tell its story without saying a word.
As Niquiqui evolved, I wanted the business to represent something beyond the work itself. Through years of photography, I saw the effects of pollution firsthand, often in the very landscapes and environments I set out to capture. Seeing that pollution appear again and again through my lens made it impossible to ignore the impact we have on the natural world, and protecting it became part of Niquiqui's purpose. Today, I commit a portion of the proceeds from every Niquiqui project to ocean conservation efforts, allowing the work I create with my clients to contribute to something larger.
